Standing proudly among Sydney’s heritage buildings, this spectacular tree lights up the CBD every night — and it’s the perfect festive outing for Eastern Suburbs families heading into town.

A Tree That Celebrates Australian Beauty

This iconic Christmas tree is a true visual masterpiece, featuring:

  • More than 110,000 LED lights

  • A 3.4-metre colour-changing star crowning the top

  • 330 custom glossy baubles

  • 800 branches adorned with 15,000 handcrafted flowers representing nine beloved Australian natives: banksia, waratah, bottlebrush, wattle, eucalyptus gum flower, kangaroo paw, flannel flower, pink wax flower and white wax flower.

Families can also tune into an audio description of the tree, making the experience accessible for all.

Nightly Choir Performances

Every evening in December, choirs gather beneath the sparkling branches to fill Martin Place with carols — a magical moment for kids and adults alike.
